About the Author

I’m Julie, a writer who believes fiercely in second chances, late beginnings, and the quiet bravery it takes to rewrite your own story. I didn’t follow the traditional path into writing…I chose it later, convinced I could write good stories but uncertain as to how to put it all together. So I ditched the day job and went to university to study creative writing. Walking into university at that stage of my life wasn’t just a decision; it was a declaration that age has no authority over ambition. And five years later I walked out with not just one, but two degrees.

I write dialogue‑rich stories about real people…my characters feel instantly familiar; they are flawed, warm, complicated, and trying their best. They stumble, grow, and keep going, not because they’re perfect… but because they’re human. Their resilience mirrors the truth I’ve learned: it’s never too late to begin, to change direction, or to chase the thing that lights you up.

Creativity doesn’t expire. Dreams don’t have deadlines. And the courage to explore new beginnings…at any age…is one of the most powerful stories we can tell.
